It didn't take a genius to recognise this long stretch of golden beach on the Caribbean side of Barbados as a perfect site for the resorts. It did take a genius, however, to create a private world of spacious coralstone buildings, with large lavish terraces, spaced so there's seclusion and furnished for comfort.

The Coral Reef Club is a 12 acre garden abutting the beach and the freshwater pool, lounges, dining rooms and bars feel " like your own ". An atmosphere the staff created with 20 years of experience. The less than 6 dozen accomodations offer a wide selection for vacationers. There are private individual cottages for couples, cottages with small extra room for those with a small baby or child, junior suites for something a bit luxurious, and these connect to make two bedroom suites for families travelling together. A new gym was added for the fitness minded vacationers.

Sandpiper is the well planned smaller sister hotel, with much the same extraordinary philosophy as Coral Reef. It's success was ensured particularly after new one and two bedrooms suites were added in 1989 bringing the total number of rooms to 45. The restaurant also came into its own at that time, with a new chef, and numerous awards and write ups, particularly in Gourmet Magazine. Sandpiper is a charming West Indian style Inn with all the luxurious comforts.
